FRANK LLOYD WLEFT HOW DID I LET MYSELF FALL SO IN LOVE WITH YOU? (FEAT. NINA WINDER-LIND)
Frank Lloyd Wleft has teamed up with Nina Winder-Lind to drop a track inspired by American country classics. ‘How Did I Let Myself Fall So In Love With You?’ wears its influences firmly on its sleeve. “This is us going as straightforwardly country as we get, drawing on old-time country artists like Ernest Tubb and Lefty Frizzell,” he explains. “The tune was originally written for one singer, and performed like that it comes out rather bitter. Split between two, suddenly it reaches a much sweeter conclusion.” Musically, this makes for an interesting collision between the twang of ultra-American country and the whimsy of English folk. Keep an eye out for more from Frank Lloyd Wleft in 2025. -Dan Peeke
